Artifact Overview
In 1990, General Motors was the lead sponsor of the first Sunrayce, a 1,640-mile auto race from Orlando, Florida, to GM's Technical Center in Warren, Michigan. All participating cars were powered by solar energy. This button, created by co-sponsor the Society of Automotive Engineers, made a lighthearted reference to one problem no race team could solve: cloudy skies.
